A little bit about me…

I grew up for 18 years in South-West Wales, then spent 3 years in London earning a Bachelor of Music at Goldsmiths. Private lessons and part-time work at an English summer camp sparked my love of teaching, so after graduating I moved to Devon to complete a PGCE in Secondary Performing Arts. I stayed there, teaching Music and Music Technology in a secondary school, where I gained solid classroom experience.

Wanting a new challenge, I became Head of Music at a private secondary school in Kent. Over four years I grew as a leader and modernised the music program, leaving a lasting positive legacy.

As great as these experiences were, ultimately I missed Wales, so in 2021 I moved to Cardiff to be near family and the culture I love. I became Head of Performing Arts at a state secondary school, where I deepened my teaching skills. While there I also completed an MA in Education at UCL and earned a Lead Practitioner qualification.

Since September 2024 I’ve been working full-time as a self‑employed music teacher and professional musician, focusing on teaching and helping others become great musicians. I’m now looking to expand my work in music education and would love to work with you. If you have any questions, please get in touch!
